Penn Library Quality/Impact Survey - 2002

In the spring of the 2002 academic year, the Library surveyed faculty and students of Penn's twelve schools to gauge their perception of the quality of Library service and the impact of that service on their work. The statistical findings of this survey, along with the Quality/Impact questionnaire, are linked to this page. The survey also collected more than 1,000 comments from respondents. A pdf file containing the unabridged comments is linked below, and there is a separate pdf document providing a summary of and indexes to the commentary.

The 2002 Quality/Impact assessment builds upon an earlier survey piloted by Penn, in conjunction with the Association of Research Libraries, in 2000. The results of the 2000 ARL pilot, now known as LibQual I, are available here. This document contains an overview of the methodology (ServQual) used in both surveys. (The LibQual questionnaire is not included.) The two instruments have twelve questions in common.
